TORONTO (AP) — Pinch-hitter Alejandro Kirk singled in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning, Bo Bichette and Brandon Belt hit solo home runs and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Houston Astros 3-2 Wednesday night.Chris Bassitt (7-4) gave up two runs and four hits with five strikeouts and no walks over eight innings in winning consecutive starts. One person is in custody after a report of a suspect with a firearm led to a lockdown at a Prince George’s County, Maryland, high school.It happened near Bowie High School Wednesday around 1 p.m. A person was seen with what appeared to be a long barrel rifle, police said. The suspect was reported to have possibly fled in a dark-colored vehicle.Police also got another report that the suspect was possibly hiding in the school, leading to a shelter-in-place order for the high school and the Bowie Annex. A car outside a home in Davie went up in flames, sending two people to the hospital. Davie Fire Rescue units responded to the scene of the blaze in the driveway of a single-family house along the 2200 block of Nova Village Drive, Wednesday morning.Officials said the flames spread to the garage, scorching the door.
